TWEED HEADS MEN
Pennant Trials:
There will be trial games at home against 4
divisions from Kingscliff and 2 divisions playing at Coolangatta this coming
Saturday 26 July as warm-up games with the Pennant season commencing the
following weekend. The first round draw for Tweed Heads teams are as follows.
Division 1 home against Mermaid Beach, Div 2 playing away at Mudgeeraba, Div 4
home to Musgrave Hill, Div 6 home to Mermaid Beach, Div 7 away at Tugun and
Div 8 home to Robina. Play will commence at 1pm on Saturday 2 August 2008.
Al Dodsley Memorial Shield:
This event was played over the weekend just past
with only a field of 11 players who have been coached at Tweed Heads over the
past 2 years. In the semi-finals Ben Savva defeated Sylvia Lusby and June
Gilroy beat John Heath. The final was won by Ben comfortably and his name will
be inscribed onto the shield.
Club Championships:
The "B" grade Singles for the 2008/09 year

TWEED HEADS TOURERS
Last Sunday 20 July the lads played at South Tweed with
no official winners. Next Sunday 27 July is the Tourers Annual General Meeting
before bowls commencing at 8.15am. After the AGM the Ladies have been invited
to join the Tourers for morning bowls. For those members wishing to play bowls
after the meeting the list is on the notice board in the Members Lounge.
