Crack field for 21st Black Douglas Ladies Singles for Masters
The 64 player field has been finalised for the prestigious Black Douglas Ladies Singles for Masters to be held at South Tweed Sports 30 May - 2 June 2011. The 21st birthday of this event promises to be a thrilling affair with numerous current and former Australian representatives, State and District representatives and eight of the fifteen past winners attending.
STS officials are hard pressed to name an outright favourite but when pushed nominated defending champion Anne Johns and former winners Kelsey Cottrell (07), Karen Murphy (05, 09) with Carmen Anderson (04, 06) not to be discounted.
Newcomers this year include Debbie Logan, Jan Morton and Joan Tennent while STS bowlers will cheer their own with Ann-Maree Peart, Lolita Treasure and Sally Hickman wearing the local colours.
